Well, I’m pretty sure Ms. Minnie is pregnant. She hasn’t come into heat since I took her to visit a buck (a long-eared Nubian) back in November, and now she’s really starting to widen. Her actual due date is April 2, but last year, she kidded four days early, and therefore I’m planning on being ready with plenty of time to spare. She seems to be in good health and good spirits, so I think we’re right on track.

yay! can’t wait to see her little baby goat!
Probably babIES. In six years of goat breeding, we’ve never had a single kid, only twins and triplets.
As a child, friends of our family raised goats and I loved jumping in the pen and playing with them for hours on end.
I cannot wait to see this little baby!
awesome. how exciting! Can’t wait to be in your boat in a few years.
She is soooo darn cute! Keep us posted! Loved the piece you did last year on the baby births.
What do you do with the kids? Sell or keep?
Wow, she is getting wide, poor thing! Good luck with the birthing… can’t wait to see baby goat photos!
I always loved seeing the does get big, especially when they were carrying trips or quads! And its so great to walk out in the morning and see a big tangle of legs and tiny bodies and little bleating faces heaped up on the ground. 🙂
