Red Onion Woodworks Gifts

November 13, 2011 · 4 comments

This blog is a place for me to share tidbits of information about my life, my environment, and my community. I didn’t start it as a platform to sell you something. However, my “day job” is a big part of my life (especially this time of year), so I feel compelled to give it a nod.

and now for a little shameless self promotion…

Did you know that I own and operate (almost single handedly) the business Red Onion Woodworks? I make cutting boards and serving trays out of salvaged, natural edge hardwoods. They’re pretty awesome.

A nice cutting board is more or less the universally perfect gift. Young or old, male or female, iron chef or cheese-and-cracker beginner. Who wouldn’t love a beautiful cutting board?

(Click on the images to see the boards in my Etsy shop.)

I have little boards perfect for chopping herbs or…

…slicing up apples.

I have medium sized boards for everyday use in your home kitchen…

…and I have thicker boards for serious chopping or appetizer displays.

I even have a board that’s shaped like the state of Idaho.

I also have some crazy burly and wild boards like this one…

and this one…

…and this one that’s huge and amazing. Seriously, I am mesmerized by it. I guarantee that it would impress even the most stoic of folks.

…or you could get one for everyone on your list and call it a day. This gift set of five is offered at a significantly cheaper price than the cost of five individuals. (I’m planning on adding another set in the next few days.)

One last thing to mention is that my shipping prices are going up next week to cover the difference between my normal Parcel Post mail (2-10 days) and my holiday standard Priority mail (2-3 days), so if you want the lowest overall price, order sooner rather than later. You’ll be happy that you did.

I am interested in buying one of your beautiful boards similar to the burl edge one on the steamy kitchen website
Do you have something like that available and hopefully you will ship it to Canada.
Looking forward to hearing from you

Everything I have available is in my Etsy shop http://redonionwoodworks.etsy.com. It’s not a huge selection right now, but that’s what I have on hand. If you would like a board shipped to Canada, send me an Etsy convo, and I’ll get the shipping adjusted for you. Thanks
